Yangshan Border Inspection Station (in planning) is to establish to defend the sovereignty, security and social order of the People's Republic of China and facilitate the passage of outgoing and incoming personnel with their baggage and belongings, as well as incoming and outgoing means of transportation and the goods carried by them

For the convenience of production, an e-mail address (yangshanbianjian@163.com) has been put online under the Yangshan Online Frontier Inspection and Quarantine. All the procedures, documents about frontier inspection and quarantine can be processed and issued in the on-the-spot Inspection Office Building located in the Yangshan Island at a time. Pre-inspection can be processed without the related personnel's presence and can be achieved by emailing the related invoices to Yangshan Border Inspection Station before the arrival of the vessels. This will certainly shorten the time (usually 2-3 hours to process the inspection after the arrival of the vessel) and start to perform work immediately with the arrival of the vessel.

Because the Yangshan Information Service Center is still in construction, persons in charge of the means of transportation or their agents should encourage to notify the Yangshan Border Inspection Station of the to-be changed vessel information or the latest vessel information so that the vessel can be inspected in time.

The O-the spot Border Inspection Building will keep a comprehensive guard at the port with a monitoring system in the monitoring hall which has displays to show the exact image of the piers.

A not-permitted port area, from the first row of lighthouse in front of Yangshan Border Inspection Station (in planning) to the frontier of vessels, has been designated in accordance with the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection. Without the approval from the frontier inspection station, no persons, cargoes or articles may be allowed to enter. The border inspection station performs the duty of guarding restricted areas at the port, inspecting incoming and outgoing personnel and monitoring the port.
